Summary . . .
Neuro-Semantics is the exploration of meaning (semantics) and how we humans, as meaning-makers, make meaning.
Neuro-Semantics goes beyond merely exploring meaning, it enables the skills of meaning-making.
Neuro-Semantics is a practical set of process for unleashing your highest and best and actualizing them in your performance.
Neuro-Semantics is a communication model for exploring how the body (neuro-, the nervous system, physiology, neurology) gets programmed by the use of language (linguistics, symbols), and meaning (semantics).
Neuro-Semantics is a positive, strength-based psychology designed to model the highest and best in human nature so we can transfer it to our everyday lives.
Neuro-Semantics is an expression of the self-actualization psychology, a positive psychology.
When you learn Neuro-Semantics, you learn new developing models from the existing NLP models, that are more robust in its philosophies, methodologies, frameworks and theories. While Neuro-Semantics grew out of the roots of NLP, Neuro-Semantics differs from NLP now and will continue to in the years to come.
So “How does Neuro-Semantics differ from NLP?” There are, of course, many over laps between NLP and NS, given NS grew out of the field of NLP. They both focus on generative change, performance and success. The distinction between the two modalities is at which ‘level’ the intervention of change occurs. The core focus of NLP is on primary states and strategies. The core focus of NS is on meta-states – higher meanings in the back of our mind.
In other words, it differs in two ways. First at the heart of Neuro-Semantics is the Meta-States Model which provides a meta-perspective to all of the Meta-models of NLP. Because of this, it explains in detail how the NLP meta-models work—how the Meta-Model of Language works, how Meta-Programs work, how Sub-Modalities work, and how the Strategy Model works.
